Mourners Lament - We All Be Given (EN)

The Chilean Doom Deather Mourners Lament exist since 2004 and seem to are as slow as their music regarding their publications. Since their foundation, they have only released one album ("Unbroken Solemnity", 2008).
But never mind, what do you call it: good things take time.
These days, Album No. 2 will be released, which will be called "We All Be Given".

On the album the 5-man team cleverly combines melody, sublime inertia and dark atmosphere. The guitars come with heavy riffs, but do not miss a certain degree of melody without drifting into playfulness, what would take the sound depth.
When the guitars in "Omnispresence" (instrumental),take over an independent part and are only under an atmospheric sample, they are skilfully building a tension bow, which finally ends in the heavy "Suffocating Hopes".
Even if the speed is slightly increased like in the mentioned "suffocating hopes", the dark basic mood is preserved.
The tempo change is absolutely helping the song and never tear apart the pieces, as one knows it from many other representatives of the genre.
The vocals, in turn, are a part which contributes to a change. Sometimes deeply growling, sometimes dark clean and then again almost as spoken words, which almost possess a bearing character already.
The keyboard man remains cleverly in the background and is practically only to hear in the title song, which is the longest piece of the album with over 13 minutes and.which is at the same time the outro of the album. Well, there is his own piano party, however.

The production has turned out clear and appropriate for the genre, it lets everything come into its own and gives the sound the necessary pressure it needs for such an album!

Conclusion:
"We All Be Given" is a very good Doom Metal album, which combines melody, atmosphere and hardness, never gets boring and always keeps the tension upright. If Black Sabbath is too fast and Funeral Doom is too slow, Mourners Lament is exactly right.
