After two demos and two split releases, the "long awaited" (quote
info leaflet) debut album of the US-Black metalheads will be given
to our domestic facilities in March. I could be wrong, but according
to Facebook the debut is already available as a to 200 copies
limited cassette since December 2017. But well, it doesn't matter.
According to the leaflet, they carry on the perverse torch of
Black Metal, which was once ignited by Profanatica and they are also
some kind of tradition in the scene. Well, in the atmosphere of
Profanatica or Beherit, the two-man band is truly in good hands,
because they hack through their monotonous riffs just as dull, raw
and amateurish.
While listening the disc achieves to awaken
one thing, though, namely an uncomfortable and dirty feeling. The
riffs are, as already mentioned, monotone and simple black metal.
They remind of above mentioned bands and get boring after the first
run-through, because that sounds so exhausted. This is all too
typical for the genre, predictable and presented without ideas. The
question about the textual orientation / statement does not arise at
all, because the '' Vocals '' are mixed in the background anyway and
they only seem to consist of '' uuuaarrgghh '', '' oooaaarrrgghh ''
and '' wwwuuaaahhrrggh ''.
I can understand perfectly that
you might commit to this type of BM, because the talent doesn't
suffice for more than just sawing through the botany in a uncreative
and amateurish way, but why do you have to be so high and mighty
about it !? Well, other bands also promise a lot, but at least they
keep their promises.
Conclusion:
Too much triviality, no
ideas and interchangeable. This turns the disc into a snotty ball of
hate, which is quickly coughed out.
