It really is worth to broaden his horizons! Otherweise I would
have missed this tidbit.
I'm talking about the Thrash Metal
band Chaos from India, which was founded in 2005. Their debut album
"Violent Redemption" already earned a lot of praise and could
convince internationally. Now, after four years, they release the
successor and what these guys deliver hereby is the finest Thrash.
"All Against All" will be released on 15.06.2017 and it will
properly strain the neck muscles.
An perfectly appropriate
cover makes already visually obvious where the journey is headed to
and the statement behind is clear - all against all!
The opening
also dashed through without any kind of warning. Vocalist JK gives
everything and snarls as much as possible. His poisonous vocals spit
out the lyrics and provide a rather agressive power in each song
thereby. The whole thing is accompanied by fast and varied guitar
riffs as well as thundering drums which make my speakers shake
properly.
With the title track, the quartet creates an
ingenious "Eargasm" which directly invites to roar along due to its
simple yet catchy chorus. Drummer Manu gives everything and pounds
mercilessly on his drums. He duels himself with the Master of the
Clamp, who saws through the song with angry killer riffs. If that is
not enough, you can enjoy the official music video.
Altogether, the four maniacs thrash on the disc with full devotion,
which is clearly shown in each of the ten tracks. They go at
highspeed until the end and the old-school influences run like a
common thread through the sound.
The only downer, for which I
remove a point, is the relatively short duration of just over 34
minutes. Although this provides for an entertaining disc, it is just
too little for my taste.
Conclusion:
Altough the
Thrash-market already has a broad range of bands, for me pearls like
this album can stand out of the crowd. Fiery guitar riffs, biting
vocals and the touch of the old school merge to a thrilling unity
where no one can hold his head still! There's only one thing left to
say - Thrash or Die!
