INGESTED ist eine 2002 gegründete Death Metal/Grindcore Band aus Manchester in England. Die Musik von INGESTED kann als eine Mischung aus brutalem Death Metal und Grindcore beschrieben werden. Durch den Einsatz von Breakdowns werden ab und an auch Einflüsse aus dem Deathcore ausgemacht, wobei es sich bei INGESTED nicht um eine Hardcore-Band handelt, die mit Elementen des Death Metal arbeiten.
Drummer Lyn Jeffs sagte: "Our new EP isn’t just material for materials sake or a stop gap between albums, this is something we feel is an important evolution in our style and is a piece of music that will again transcend the genre of slam.
We feel immensely proud of ‘The Call Of The Void‘, it is something we have worked hard on to develop while on the road so much of 2018. It is darker, riff-heavy and atmospheric but still has all the ingredients that make Ingested what it is. To celebrate the release we are coming back to Europe on a short tour with our friends Within Destruction on select dates. We are excited for you guys to hear ‘The Call Of The Void‘ both on record and live."
