HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES: posten Cover von DAVID BOWIE'S "Heros" feat. JOHNNY DEPP!

Vier Jahre nach ihrem selbstbetitelten Debüt steigen sie wieder empor: "Rise" heißt das neue Album der HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES. Und die amerikanische Hardrocksupergroup, bestehend aus Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp und Joe Perry von Aerosmith, ist 2019 in Bestform. Das hat sie bereits mit der ersten Singleauskopplung "Who’s Laughing Now" gezeigt.

Insgesamt warten 16 Songs auf "Rise". Im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger sind die meisten davon Eigenkompositionen. Nur bei drei Songs handelt es sich um Coverversionen, nämlich: David Bowies "Heroes", "People Who Died" von der Jim Carroll Band und Johnny Thunders "You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory".

Produziert wurde "Rise" von der Band selbst zusammen mit Tommy Henriksen. Mit Jeff Beck und John Waters gibt es zudem zwei Gäste auf der Platte, und zwar im Lied "Welcome To Bushwackers". Beeindruckende Originale und starke Cover: "Rise" ist das mit Spannung erwartete zweite Album der Hollywood Vampires. In den Handel kommt "Rise" am 21. Juni via earMUSIC.

Alice Cooper sagte: ""Rise" is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I’ve ever been a part of. Each of us — Joe, Johnny, Tommy, and myself — have written songs on this album. What is different, though, is that I didn’t try to change any songs to be more ‘Alice-like.’ Because each of us has different influences, the sound of this album is very cool. I think that with this album, we are establishing what the Vampires’ sound really is, whereas with the first album, we were more tipping our hats to our fallen rock ‘n’ roll brothers."
